I have 4 sony xplod speakers on a 4 channel sony xplode amp and 2 kicker cvr12's on 2 sony 2 channel amps. the subs pound in my trunk but the bass on the sony speakers suck. i have to keep it on -5 or it gets distorted when i have it up. Could this be because of the amp (XM-554ZR) or the speakers which are XSV1642A and XS-V6942A. I was thinking about replacing the sony 4 chan. amp with a kicker 4 chan. Do you think that would make the bass sound better or do you think it is the speakers?
OUT OF ALL HONESTY I WOULD NEVER BUY ANY CAR EQUIPMENT FROM SONY...TO BE HONEST THEY JUST PLAIN S*U*C*K(NOT TO BE RUDE)
U SHOULD COMPLIMENT UR CVR'S WITH ANOTHER AMPLIFIER MAY BE JL OR PG OR KICKER OR ECT...AND IT AS FOR UR SPEAKERS TRY GETTIN SUM FOCAL, RAINBOW, POLK I THINK MAKES GOOD ONES OR BOSTON AUCOUSTICS...AND A BETTER AMP FOR THOSE...IM NOT TRYIN TO BE DICK BUT ITS JUST SONY FLAT OUT IS LIKE A TRASHCAN WITH A VOICE COIL ON IT
so if i got a kicker amp for the sony speakers do you think the bass would be better on them cuz the sony amp sucks. I dont know if its the amp or the speakers though that make the bass distorted. this is for just the front and rear speakers not the subs cuz they hit hard
BUY KICKER AMP AND NEW SPEAKER LIKE THE ONES I MEANTIONED EARRLIER....FOCAL, POLK, RAINBOW, BOSTON AUCOUSTICS, AND SO ON AND TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH IF U BUY A NEW AMP FOR THE SAME SUBS U WILL PROBABLLY GET MORE OUTPUT FROM A BETTER BRAND AMP.....WUT ARE UR AMPS RATED??????(RMS POWER AT WUT LOADS..LOADS ARE IN OHMS IF U DIDNT NO??)
both of them are running at 500 rms x 4 ohms 1 of them bridged on each sub. There already wired at 4 ohms so i didnt want to get another amp and have to wire it at 2 ohms to get the same power. also all the reviews for this amp are good and it makes my rear view mirror fall off so i dont know if the amps i have on my subs are bad

IDK ABOUT KICKER SPEAKERS HAVENT HEARD TO MUCH BOUT THM BUT YES THIER AMP ARE OF GOOD QUALITY.....IF U WANT SUM GOOD SPEAKERS GO FOR FOCAL, BOSTON AUCOUSTICS, INFINITY(DECENT), POLK, RAINBOW, SEAS, OR JUST TRY THE KICKERS....ITS ALL UP TO YOU AND MONEY(PARENTS MONEY )
WELL I HAD A PAIR OF Rf SPEAKERS AND TO TELL U THE TRUTH THEY HAD NO BASS WUT SO EVER SO I REALLY WOULDNT RECCOMEND THEM..FOR THE SAME $$ I SPENT ON MINE U COULD BUY SUMTHING WAY BETTER ON EBAY.
do you turn the bass up on your regular speakers when you have subs or do you turn it down and have bass from just the subs. i want good bass on all my speakers so the bass will be coming from all around the car and not just the trunk.
do you think having 2 kicker zk350.2 amps on my cvr12's 1 on each bridging them for 350 rms each would be better than having 2 sony xplode xmgt2200 amps bridging them for 500 rms each. so would 350 rms each from kicker be louder than 500 rms each from sony.
