My HU is a Pioneer Deh P5800. I use it on my 26 ft boat and I'm looking for a good pair of Waterproof/Marine speakers. Reviews on these seem to be quite rare. Im looking for at least 6.5" or 6" X 9". I just want to start with a pair perhaps I'll add a sub later. I see Clarion has a component set. Any thoughts?
there are few 6x9s that are made by the mainstream companies. I work in freemans on the lake in NC and haven't seen any 6x9s. You really can use any speaker(thats not paper cone) as long as it doesn't get alot of water on the and the back side won't get alot of moisture on them. We have alot of people use just regular car audio speakers. Marine ones do help say if the openings are in constant sun light and get water up on them but just depends on the openings locations.
