Gold Member Username: TheelfkeeperStockbridge, GA USA Post Number: 2062 Registered: Feb-05 | never heard the focals. had the CDT HD 3-ways which had the same 4 inch woofer and same tweeter thats in the 4 inch 2 way set and was pretty happy with it. i had the silk tweeter, but you can get a hard dome now for a resonable price. they got water damaged and it would have costed more to replace the 6 inch woofers then i paid for the whole set, so i changed it all out. |

Gold Member Username: TheelfkeeperStockbridge, GA USA Post Number: 2148 Registered: Feb-05 | i'd stay away from thoes Q-Logic panels Chauncey. big waste of money if you ask me. plus, they won't fit a set of 6.5's. i'm working on a friend's car, his first system, and will be putting some Alpine Type X 4 inch comps up front and 5 1/4 in the rear. don't know when though since we're going along as he gets money. they are pretty cheap though, only like $225 shipped on ebay. |
Silver Member Username: AlteraudiousaConcord Post Number: 775 Registered: Jan-06 | I had an Alero(pretty much same as grand am) and I modded the Q logic kick to be more sturdy and sealed the back and put a 5.25woofer in there and a 4in in the door as well as the tweet and it sounded pretty decent. I don't like putting the 5.25 in a kick but it performed well. |
