When I went from a sealed to a ported box my subs move inward instead of outward I switched my speaker wire going to the amp from + to - and - to + and is has no effect I have turned my phase all the way up and all the way down and everywhere in the middle and still no difference Im just wondering is this bad for my subs and how should I fix it, if it is harmful.
phase shift 0-180 is the same thing as switching the + and - just easier because it is a switch. for inverting you sub the phase doesnt have to be one way or another its just preference.
yeap 1.7 cubes each..i have the amp gain set to wut i belive is 2.0 - 2.5 (ther isnt any numbers on the 12.1 gain) and the lpf to 80 (i hope so too) and i turned the sub sonic off and set the phase to 0
yea i bought the box at a local shop but i wanna go ported mayb but not anytime soon...my hu is 2.5 but the knob doesnt say any numbers so i guessed it
yeah what im saying is dont guess. leave it on as low as the gian goes... then hook it up and slowly (very slowly) turn the gain up until its set right. there are better ways but i dont think you have an oscilloscope or a DMM.
yea i dont have any but ill do that... how i guessed was the range is 0.5-8.0 and ther is 5 little blocks so i divided 8 by 5 and got 1.6 so i set it in the middle of the second blick...but ill do what u said to be safe
