Wednesday, May 03, 2006 - 15:20 GMT then you would want SPL....not SQ. lol SPL is just loud bass....with no regard to accurate musical reproduction. SQ is the exact opposite...with no regards to "extra bass"...just enough to make it sound....perfect. lol

Wednesday, May 03, 2006 - 15:23 GMT So you're saying that you can't hear SQ bass? I have no "extras" on my system....the EQ's are flat and the bass boost is off...and I have a pair of Diamond D3's...so what do I have in your opinion?

Wednesday, May 03, 2006 - 23:00 GMT id say SQ because i would hate for an SPL sub to reproduce something like a single bass note when its just a few kick drums

Wednesday, May 03, 2006 - 23:07 GMT if i had to choose over a single idq 10 or an SPL setup i would choose SPL. now you have to atleast let me say a good SPL sub like an MT or something than CAN be used for daily... because i really want to say SQL lol

Wednesday, May 03, 2006 - 23:11 GMT i want to say spl, but pure spl would get old real fast for daily driving and it is more to show off to other people. so i say sq because then you can enjoy fuller sounding music and that will never get old

Wednesday, May 03, 2006 - 23:17 GMT wait wait wait... do we have to have our boxes tuned high and everything too? or just have SPL woofers.. cause i would just get like 2 MT 15s and give them about 55sqin each of port tuned to 30hz

Sunday, May 07, 2006 - 02:55 GMT Just like my quote in the profile, this is what I believe: "An SPL enthusiast is just someone who hasn't heard a loud enough SQ system. Either that or they don't really enjoy music, they just enjoy getting looked at by strangers." SQ definitely costs a lot more than SPL though. (To get it loud enough.)

Sunday, May 07, 2006 - 03:16 GMT there is such a thing as an AQL setup, its a setup that has potential to do well inthe lanes but doesn't necessarily do it all the time. My setup can go to a lane and put up very respectable numbers but with the way it is currently setup its a SQ setup. Turn the gain up on the amp to 30% and change my EQ to setting 5 and its a whole different system.
