What is the difference between the Excelon kenwoods and the MP ones? They are the same price and look the same with the same options. Heres the specs

That is not entirely correct. I've been contemplating the same thing, since (nearly) every excelon model has a correlating "base" model. At the very least, the preamp outputs on the MP series are crippled (4v versus 5v in the above case, bigger differences for other models). What I don't know is if the components are actually different, or if they just have different internal settings. Hope you're still looking at this thread.
