Hi there Ecoustic members, i've done a forum search for the "CUR" Error that the MRD-1005 Outputs, the only articles i could find were archived- Hence why i think i couldnt reply!
So i'm starting a new post.
I have a MRD-1005 Amp Running 2 TypeR Subs @ 2ohm, Wires run perfectly, all soldered, and fused.
Unfortunately though, when i turn my music up to a point- my amp flashes a "CUR" error and doesnt feed anything more to the subs leaving my speakers to fend for themselves.
By no means is the music im playing even loud enough to shake the whole car. i'm probably seeing about 1/4 of the potential these subs can produce.
Tweaks i have tried: Adjusting the lowpass and the Gain on both amp and the deck. Adjusting the bass level on the head unit. Adjusting treble on the head unit.
What is your wiring configuration? You may have your subs wired so that they are showing a 1 ohm load to the amp. Since that amp is only stable to 2 ohms, that may be the reason why it goes into the protect state.
