I have narrowed it down to one of these three... Pioneer AVH-P7600DVD 2076_4023_236487217%2C00.html,http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/deta il/0,,2076_4023_236487217,00.html Pioneer AVH-P7800DVD 2076_4023_308112693%2C00.html,http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/deta il/0,,2076_4023_308112693,00.html or the Alpine IVA-D310 http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/product.php?model=IVA-D310 Which one of the three would be a better buy? Im looking for something that will sound real good and looks nice as well. Thanks |

The Alpine is a decent unit with enough features to suit the needs of the average person looking for an in-dash DVD, but the Pioneer models are geared more for someone looking to put together more of a mobile theater. You get 5V preouts on the Pioneers as well as a dedicated center channel. I'd say that the only way the Pioneer models are going to be worth the money is if you're planning to do a LOT more than just drop in a DVD deck. What else are you running for a system or what other plans did you have? For the average audio upgrade, or even above avereage, I'd say the Alpine would suit you just fine. Is there a reason you're looking at those particular models? What about the middle ground, like the Pioneer AVIC-N3 or a Kenwood model. I have a good friend who runs the KVT-715 in his '06 Eclipse, and it sounds and looks great. I actually prefer the look of the Kenwoods to both Alpine and Pioneer. |
