I know u guys probly get this alot but, i need help understanding the subs and amp. For the subs i need to know what continous power means and how it works, why it sometimes says 800 watts but like 1200 peak power hadeling, and just how they work altogether and all hook up to the amp and stuff??? i know u guys are all good at this so please help if u want...thanks.. peace...
DONT PAY ATTENTION TO MAX!!! Its basically just there to make the sub look good. continuous=rms....this means what the sub will continously take. You want to get the subs rms as close as possible to the amps rms. Theres other things you'll also have to pay attention to, like whether subs DVC, 4ohm, 2ohm, etc. when matching subs and amps
RMS is what the amp is capable of doing all the time (when supplied with enough juice to charge...alternator) peak is what your amp will never see if it says 1000max (unless it's an under rated anp) the amp will never push that amount unless you have a crazy charging system...but I would still doubt it
