Do you lose power if you use a stock cd player?

i have an 05 truck so i like my stock cd/mp3 player should i use the hi low adapter to connect my subs to it or will it not sound as good as if i used a aftermarket cd player?

you just lose sound quality by using a LOC rather then getting an aftermarket HU.
