They look nicer then the other orion stuff built lately and on paper sound good. http://www.cardomain.com/shoplist~b~Orion~t~Subwoofer+Mono+Amps |

But.....I would buy the D2400 if i had some extra money just because it looks sweet and its Orion... Oh yeah it 1 ohm stable with 1200 watts, good sheiiit. |

Platinum Member Username: GlasswolfWisteria, Lane USA Post Number: 11485 Registered: Dec-03 | note what I really liked about the old HCCA amps was that they were all MilSpec internals, class AB, and half-ohm stable. None of those specs seem present in the new class D models. |
Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 5448 Registered: Nov-04 | For the price they're charging, it better be made in the states. GlassWolf is correct. Too bad they went away from their "old school" design. The reason why I purchased the old HCCA amps were, .5ohm stable, class AB, 32uv slew rate, and delivered max power at 12v, but most of all, it was US made. |

Gold Member Username: Suleman36Maryland U.S.A. Post Number: 3477 Registered: Feb-05 | Glasswolf / Here is what the orion hcca site emailed me back. "The amps our made by different vendors. It really depends on which amp you are interested in. All of the amps are great quality and have a warranty, it really shouldn't matter to the end user which one of our vendors produce the amplifier for us. All of the information on the Orion amps is easily attainable from www.directed.com and there is a link for all of our product lines including Orion there. The things to be most worried about are the watts the amplifier produces and the ohm load that it is capable of handling". |

The old HCCA's were known to be ran as low as .25 ohm, very nice amps. These amps were popular before they really had multiple coil configurations so in short they were capable of running several speakers. Polo.. |
