Posted on 300 watts draws 24 amps at 12.6V. the impedance has nothing to do with that. the impedance does affect the output of the amp though, which is what determines the current draw. 300 watts at 2 ohms draws the same as 300 watts at 4 ohms. only difference there is temperature, 4 ohms will run cooler. but an amp rated at 300 watts at 4 ohms, will increase to about 600 watts at 2 ohms. the higher the wattage, the more current required. |
