Gold Member Username: JmloughreyFarmington, CT Post Number: 1470 Registered: Jul-04 | Depending on what amp you have or are looking it, how many subs your getting, you can wire the subs to a different ohm load. Ohms are a level of resistance, the higher the number the more resistance to your amp, which means the more resistance the less power your amp can push out. if you get say 1 dual 4 ohm sub that is 500w RMS. You'll want to get an Amp that is 500w RMS x 1 @ 2ohms. www.bcae1.com will have more info on this for you. |

Post Number: 388 Registered: Sep-05 | what i did with my setup is i have 2 4Ohm DVC subs wired to 2 Ohms each and than seriesed mono for a 4Ohm load and my amp puts out roughly 600 Watts @4X1 its put out 250 to each channel @2Ohms and it was pulling way to much power for my stock Alt at that point so i just made it a mono setup |
