Gold Member Username: B101Queen City, NC USA Post Number: 2130 Registered: Sep-05 | I 2nd Trevor. People dont seem 2 realize DDs are one of the best subs ever made around here.... Its also indestructable!! Whos to say that DD doesnt have SQ? have you heard one? Have you heard a Tarantula? Even if it was DD vs A#S Hammer... my $$ will be with DD |
Silver Member Username: Safe_crackerChicago, IL US Post Number: 638 Registered: Jan-06 | I like seriously lowwww bass so I would go with two XXX 15's and still retain a great amount of SQ, JMHO...Polo. |

Gold Member Username: CenusHicksville, Ohio Usa Post Number: 1532 Registered: Jan-05 | shocker audio neo-sig, it would beat every sub mentioned in spl, and if you go dd, forget the 9515, get the 9917z the badest sub dd makes, but still falls short of the neo-sig imo. |
Gold Member Username: Chaunb3400Cancun, Mexico U.S. Post Number: 6375 Registered: Jul-05 | A HoLeeS would beat a neo sig |
Gold Member Username: CenusHicksville, Ohio Usa Post Number: 1533 Registered: Jan-05 | has any1 ever tested that sub, i know it uses the sig motor just modified, looks like a beast though, and i don't know if it would beat a neo-sig, LOL have to let some1 who can acutally afford one test it. |
Silver Member Username: JakeyplaysbassSt. Louis, MO Post Number: 782 Registered: Jul-05 | treo CXT 15, if and when they come out?????? DD 9915 is the number 1 SPL sub. hands down. |
Silver Member Username: Safe_crackerChicago, IL US Post Number: 640 Registered: Jan-06 | DD15 will Kill a XXX15 in the loww end.. also sound just as good. I thnk this time B I may have to disagree with you on the low end part. DD's are designed to get loud on top of the frequency range hence the FS in 30's the XXX's fs is 21hz which is extremely low that is why on there forum they are recommending everyone to tune higher than normal. Look at the excursion of the XXX, sorry the DD is not an extreme excursion sub and that is where it will matter on the low end, JMHO..Polo PS- Now on the top end it may very well due to the higher power handling, but they kinda plan looking too, lol.. |
Gold Member Username: Chaunb3400Cancun, Mexico U.S. Post Number: 6382 Registered: Jul-05 | lol, the 9917 would beat the 9915 |
Silver Member Username: JakeyplaysbassSt. Louis, MO Post Number: 783 Registered: Jul-05 | the CXT has a 1036oz motor and can take 20,000 watts on tone burts, well thats what it says on the sheet but i dont even think there out yet...b? |

Gold Member Username: Chaunb3400Cancun, Mexico U.S. Post Number: 6386 Registered: Jul-05 | "How do some people hit 140+ DB with one alpine type r 12" sub" INSTALL |
Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana USA Post Number: 2592 Registered: Mar-04 | they get high SPL by tuning the box to peak at the cars peak freq. as for putting an orion 2500d on a type R...that sub will not actually see 2500w at the freq they burp it at. (go read the "What is box imp rise" thread) For example: i do 148.6db w/ 1 SX15 w/ a jbl bp1200.1...y box rise is ~3.35ohm. As for doing hair tricks...it all depends on the way the vehicle loads and freqency. i have seen 152db+ systems that cant do hair tricks. |
Bronze Member Username: Alexv3305Tavernier, FL United States Post Number: 16 Registered: Mar-06 | what do u mean install? explain please i am wanting to learn |
New member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 3 Registered: Mar-06 | A SI MAG will hold 2000 RMS, not daily of course and get seriously loud. |
Silver Member Username: Safe_crackerChicago, IL US Post Number: 641 Registered: Jan-06 | Hair tricks are done with lowwwww frequency. Lower the frequency higher the excursion, more excursion more air being moved then you get some hair flying. Try playing some Young Jeeze "Soul Survivor" as loud as you can without clipping then close all windows except one which you can start half way. Practice with a towel and not a cheap thin one, lol. You may need to introduce some bass boost too, Polo. |
