I have been around for many years in this business and if you want a good x-over for not a lot of money look up the Coustic XM-3e on ebay. It is very high quality even though most of the other coustic stuff is cheap. It was the x-over used in the show scene for quite a few years and are typically around 20-30 dollars now.

That Coustic XM-3e is just like my Clarion MCD-360. In fact, the cases are identical. Man, I could have saved 50 bux...

Does the XM4 work as good as the XM-3e? Does it change the sound quality if I don't have the bass knob with it?

XM4 works just as well.
if you get a Coustic model with the "e" suffix, it adds the option of a wired remote knob.

depends on your budget.
I went with the Pioneer P9 combo that offers the head unit and DSP unit with separate channels for an active system with integrated EQing etc..
its nice

i bet it is.

no particular budget. i found a place i can get the dynaudio 340 for a good price. around 900ish. i want to keep everything in the stock place so that is why i want to go with the 340. well if i put everything in the stock place, i just need more control over the component set.
