Playing homemade WMA and MP3 cd's

I am waffling between a Pioneer DEH-P860MP (not as flashy as the 960MP) and an Alpine CDA-9833 HU. My main concern is will they be able to play my homemade CD's, or will they choke on them as my factory Toyota HU does. I have used mostly WMA format.

the Alpine does very well at MP3 and WMA. very fast, and good with directory structures.
great unit all around.
I think you'd be pleased with it.
