Posted on ive heard that the RE 12.1can handle subs at .5 ohm
its 1200 wrms @ 1 ohm, how many would it be at .5 ohm
and also is this bad for the amp, because RE doesnt advertise the fact that it is stable at .5ohm |

Posted on many "1ohm stable" amps can actually handle .5ohm daily. It just depends on the reactive load your subs actually give the amp.
Its just not recommended. |

Posted on i think it can do burps at .5 ohm but i would not run it at .5 ohm for very long periods of time. |
