as you can see they used a pc monitor for the meter display so i coundn't get a clean picture of it. they wouldn't let us get near there so i couldn't get a picture of what some of the people were hitting.
i didn't stick around til it ended but i am assuming this guy won cause on his first run he hit 170.8db. i couldn't get pictures of his subs but i did get a picture of his amps.
yea it was pretty crazy. i don't know what subs that tanker looking car was running but i would assume re's cause him and his crew all had re shirts on.
its a tanker, because it will explode a car... lol reinforced windows etc... as u can tell he dear not sitt inside, he has a podium.. which is illegal in some comps.. :D
Chad can u now tell everybody who hasnt been to a comp, how freakin LOUD 150dbs is? LOL
OHH yea, his subs had to been RE, cause everyone around it, and including him, has on RE shirts...
Chad can u now tell everybody who hasnt been to a comp, how freakin LOUD 150dbs is? LOL
It is only loud for people who haven't gotten use to it, why do you think people reach for 160? Not because there stupid but for the fact they can't hear there previous setup, lOl...Polo.
a few people stood outside and used their remote controls while the others sat inside with their ears covered.
i couldn't really tell how loud 150db is cause i wasn't inside the car nor did they have their windows rolled down. but seeing how much the roof of their car flexes i could imagine it is loud.
The rules for USACi and dBDrag say that you have to control the car from outside or were hearing protection if the SPL is over 140dB.
Sometimes they will ask you if you want to use hearing protection. But i have never been to operate my truck from outside.
At most USACi comps i go to, they have a designated "mic-monkey". They position the mic in each vehicle, and sit in the vehicles most of the time. (unless you ask them not to)
