Sunday, March 19, 2006 - 20:25 GMT I'm a newbie... I've been searching for 10's. These are the 2 speakers i've narrowed it down to. I'm looking for a good all around sub. Which one of these should i get? or are there others that you recommend?

Sunday, March 19, 2006 - 20:29 GMT Are you just going to use 1? Because it is always better for the $$ to use 2 drivers than 1, unless of course you only have room for 1. Then I would say if you can afford it the 10w7 in the HO box would be tight.

Sunday, March 19, 2006 - 20:45 GMT dont get a bandpass box. use sealed or ported, depending on if you want a louder, deeper bass(ported) or punchy, cleaner bass(sealed). i would go with the IDmax as well.

Monday, March 20, 2006 - 00:30 GMT the w7 will be louder and deeper the alpine doesn't compare in output. and if you got the JL HO box for it you will be very pleased the sub will sound amazing
