I took a trip to the flea market friday and finally found the system of my dreams, but still in my budget of only $500. The guy wants to sell my this system: 2 kicker comp vr's in a box and a planet audio P-850D amplifier and install it for $500. I thought the amp wasnt strong, but he said "dont believe me? Come to my car, so i followed him to his 1996 honDA ACCORD. "Sit in the passenger seat he said and i will turn my radio to 75 percent. The next thing i remember is a headache and BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM. I jumped out the car and saw his whole car shaking. He said he not trying to buy a new window so he turned it down. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK? I PLAN ON BUYING IT IN TWO WEEKS.
dont think the window will brake but u can find 2 12 cvrs on ebay for like $145 shipped for a pair an can get a box an other amp like an audiobahn 800 $110 ebay
Sometimes waiting untill you know what you want to fit your music taste will make you happier.
All subs are not created equal.
What kind of music do you like?
If you must have a system soon go on ebay and find a seller in texas I just bought 2 R's from a company in Houston on ebay I cant remember the name right off hand.
i'm not tryin to be rude i mean.. if your looking for advice than i mean i wouldnt have an issue... but if you just want the system now and your fine with what you heard than go buy it... thats all i am saying..
buy two 15 CVR and one hifonics and you'll see that you're spending less than 500 for new! then you can go and open up your trunk and kick out his system, then you tell him the cost of all that.
if ur happy dude...get it. Comp vr's are great subs that also sound nice, and planet audio amps are nice, they put out every bit of what they say. Id get it if its n good shape
There are a lot of sub & amp setups for $500 that others could recommend but it's all subjective as everyone likes something different. You have to listen with your own ears and if your happy with the SQ/SPL then go for it.
Given enough time and access to many different subs and amps I'd say you could spend less and end up with a system as good or better than you heard...but almost no one has access to all the available amps and subs to do that kind of personalized test to find the very best setup for their own ears and own specific vehicle.
