How can you see how many watts an amplifier is pushing? I want to see which amp is better and curious how to find out how many watts are being pushed. What kind of tool do you need to determine the watts or where can you go to find out?
Thanks

You can use an oscilloscope to actually look at the output of any electrical waveform. You can measure the peak to peak of the wave.. However and scope is alot of money, and u need to been trained on how to use it correctly. Some range up to 5000$

You can use a cheap tool called a Digital Multi Meter, with some math to calculate what you want to do. Get a DMM from radio shack or elsewhere. You will aslo need a current clamp to measure current!

P=power I=current R=resistance
P=I/R

ITs alot easier if u just go pay 10$ or so get it on a bench test at a store. I take it you know nothing about electronics...
