Thursday, March 16, 2006 - 22:16 GMT I'm just about done with my box for 3 10's, I am wondering if I should predrill the holes before I screw in the subwoofers themselves???? In the past I have not predrilled but just drilled in, what should I do??

Friday, March 17, 2006 - 05:02 GMT Haha, yea I just drilled them in and it seems ok. It turned out amazing, I can't believe how great they sound, probably the best sounding subs i've ever heard, and it's my first box!

Friday, March 17, 2006 - 13:10 GMT predrill all the time. If you don't you can get it where the wood gathers on the edges and pushes back up. I like to predrill with a very small bit and then screw in.

Friday, March 17, 2006 - 15:20 GMT Yea chauncey they are, and they hit so crisp and beautiful, and they are only excurting half way!! I don't have enough power to push them all the way, my next buy will have to be a new amp, maybe a JL 1000/1 and run them at a 4 ohm load..

Friday, March 17, 2006 - 17:13 GMT Predrilling is required with MDF or it will just disintegrate.
