What amplifier should i need/use?

New member Username: HighstonePost Number: 1 Registered: Mar-06 | hi, i just got 2 12" MTX 9512-44 (9500 series) subwoofers. they are 1000 watts RMS each @ 4 ohms . What amp should i use? Should i use 1(2-channel amp) or 2(1-channel amps) and which ones? and will i need to upgrade my alternator? Thanks |

Gold Member Username: TheelfkeeperStockbridge, GA USA Post Number: 1396 Registered: Feb-05 | yeah, look at Ascendant Audio, RE Audio, Treo, Sound SPlinter....and various other companies online for a lot of bass on a budget. they don't have the price tag for the name like JL Audio, just the product, lol. MTX 9500's aren't that great. but for an amp, try and get a 1 channel (mono class D). look at Hifonics if you are on a budget. |

Sure, it's no W7, and yes, there's a lot better for the money, but it's not a BAD sub... btw, how many of yall have actually heard the 9500? |
