hi, i just got 2 12" MTX 9512-44 (9500 series) subwoofers. they are 1000 watts RMS each @ 4 ohms .
What amp should i use?
Should i use 1(2-channel amp) or 2(1-channel amps) and which ones?
and will i need to upgrade my alternator?
Thanks

yeah, look at Ascendant Audio, RE Audio, Treo, Sound SPlinter....and various other companies online for a lot of bass on a budget. they don't have the price tag for the name like JL Audio, just the product, lol.

MTX 9500's aren't that great.

but for an amp, try and get a 1 channel (mono class D). look at Hifonics if you are on a budget.

lol guys come on.. the 9500 is not a BAD sub lol. it's the only sub MTX makes that is worth a crap. Sure, it's no W7, and yes, there's a lot better for the money, but it's not a BAD sub...

btw, how many of yall have actually heard the 9500?

man i think that for the price of the 9500 you can get better deals, that's the point, better sound for less money it's what he's trying to get.
