Hi,

I'm building a mid-budget system for a friend, he has about $1,200 to spend. I will be buying everything off eBay (used or new). I have come up with the following...

Headunit: Pioneer Premier deh-p860mp ($250 used)
Front speakers: Infinity Kappa Perfect 5.1 ($187 new)
Front amp: Zapco 350.2 ($225 used)
Subwoofer: **Looking for a top quality 12" sub to run at about 500w RMS** - please advise
Sub amp: JL 500/1 or Zapco 500.1

I dont wanna run a too high watt system, because I wanna try and avoid upgrading the stock alternator & battery.

Also, I would consider a good quality 4 channel amp to run both front speakers and sub - any advice most welcome.

Thanks in advance guys.

How about a viper or orion 600d for the sub amp? Much cheaper than jl prolly. Good subs for that range...RE SE....Ascendent Arsenal.....Alpine type R......Kicker cvr.....probably lots of others but thats what i'm familiar with in that range.
