Wednesday, March 15, 2006 - 17:35 GMT I was wondering, I have this sony 8" sub just lying around and I have this home stereo amplifier for my surround sound system, its only like 75RMS. I was wondering if I could hook it up to the 8" sub, will it work?

Wednesday, March 15, 2006 - 18:07 GMT it can damage it, home receivers are normally rated @ 8ohms... alot higher than car audio, but its most efficent for AC current... im guessing that sub is 4ohms, if it was dual vc 4ohm, u could series the vcs to 8ohms then use it safely..
