Im about to get my 2 powerbase 15's DVC 1ohm and i have a 4 ohm amp i had my audiobahn wired at 3 ohm and the amp could take it, it just got hot sometimes when played for a long time I want to try 2 ohm and just leave the gain down and when i want to show off just turn it up for a minute then back down. What do you guys suggest me doing I want to pump as much power as I can into them without frying the amp.
i think i can wire them at - ohms cause they are dual 1 ohm coils, im not sure, does anyone know of any amps that go down the - ohms, maybe im wrong i just thought so because the audiobahns i had was dvc 6 ohms and the coils together could be wired at 3 ohm parallel.
orion 2500d is stable @ .5 daily, I do it every day... also gives out max pwr for short burps at .34
dual 1ohm is still huge, try a dual .75 or something....
but seriously, if the amp took 3ohms, doesnt mean it will take 2ohms... it might go puff... when u lowering the ohms, u need to boost the voltage.. and ur equipments sucks.. so...... cant really tell u much..
