Hey, my brother has this Alpine V12 MRV-F307, which according to the specs is "Bridged RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 80W x 2 @ 12V" when I connect that to my 150w pioneer sub (giving it 80w) it pounds..
Also, I got this kenwood KAC-7202 (brand new) which is "150W RMS (continuous) x 2 @ 4 ohms" which is not evan HALF as close to the power coming out of that alpine..
I am wondering why is this?? every review i've read for that alpine amp, people are saying it's great for components/coax's but not for subs. my neighbor, also into car music has 2 300$ memphis subs, and he is evan amazed at how loud this amp thumps and is only giving the SUB 80watts??
can anyone explain this?? maybe that kenwood needs to burn in(i doubt it because its NO WHERE near close to the alpine) ??
