I have room for 2 6.5's in the front and 2 6x9's in the back which i know isnt the best sq but will give me some bass if i choose not to go with a sub. So today i went out and got a Pioneer 4800 from Circuit City. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-tooQdutqbPn/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&I=130DEHP480 Here is what i have new sitting in boxes. I just need some help picking out what to use. - Infinity Referance 6.5 2 Ways http://www.crutchfield.com/S-tooQdutqbPn/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=52000&I=1086012I - CDT EF-61NEOX 2 way coaxials http://www.cdtaudio.com/slim_neo_systems.htm I am looking to get the PPI PCX 440 to run four speakers but the rears whould have to be 6x9's unless i decide to get a subwoofer later on then i whould be fine with the 6.5 2 ways 40 x 4 @ 4 ohm - http://www.precisionpower.com/amps/pcx440.asp I have a custom speaker pods built on the door which are IB that can house 2 components up front aswell. Just not sure if the 40 watts rms will be enough for any component set out there ? Let me know if any come to mind. I dont feel liking getting a bigger amp unless the price falls around $200 for a good one on ebay or whatever. Any feedback whould be nice. |

Post Number: 3284 Registered: Feb-05 | I could always go all Infinity with the referance 6.5 2way coaxials upfront and the referance 6x9's in the rear. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-boQasMZiGCX/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=52300&I=1089612I 40 x 4 @ 4 ohm should be plenty or should i look at 80 x 4 @ 4 ohm amp ? |
Silver Member Username: AlteraudiousaConcord Post Number: 407 Registered: Jan-06 | i would use the CDT up front, and get some 6x9 for the rear. The EF's sound better than the Infinity's. |

Post Number: 3285 Registered: Feb-05 | Thanks guys, looks like i will use the CDT 6.5 coaxial upfront and a 6x9 in the rearfill by the cargo area and go with the ppi pcx 440 - 40 x 4 @ 4 ohm Alteraudio and Glasswolf / Type R 6x9's or any other nice 2 way 6x9 ? So far i was considering the infinity referance 6x9 and the Type R 6x9 but im not sure which will perform better for this. I dont think CDT makes a 6x9 coaxial alone or does it ? |

Gold Member Username: Suleman36Maryland U.S.A. Post Number: 3289 Registered: Feb-05 | The reason i was considering the 6x9 is because im not going to have a subwoofer in this system for a while and i figure it whould make good rearfill with adequete bass until i get possibly 1 or 2 12's or 15's. Kind of thinking about IDQ 12's or 15's down the road. |

Post Number: 3301 Registered: Feb-05 | Ive decided to just go with 4 CDT EF-61NEOX 2 way coaxials 2 in the front and 2 in the back with the speaker adapter to fit in the rear. 2 more weeks for the CDT amplifiers that will be made and handcrafted in the USA !!!! That will put a nice touch to my 4 speakers running off the Pioneer Premier DEH-P580MP and finished off with the CDT amp.. I may add 1 subwoofer to the system later on with a amp to match. Maybe a SoundSplinter RLP 12 ? sealed ? |

Sealed or Ported and any other thoughts on it mating with the rest of my system. Not a bad price for this sub. |
Gold Member Username: Suleman36Maryland U.S.A. Post Number: 3325 Registered: Feb-05 | I may go with the Alpine Type R 6x9 or CDT EF-61NEOX / just not 100% on this yet since i dont have a sub or amp to run my low end. |
Silver Member Username: AlteraudiousaConcord Post Number: 443 Registered: Jan-06 | CDT CL-69x, a 6x9 component setup. Lends nicely to either a rear stage or without the tweet a rear fill. |
Gold Member Username: Suleman36Maryland U.S.A. Post Number: 3327 Registered: Feb-05 | I dont think im going to go with a component setup in the rear. I think it whould make more sense to just go with a midbass instead or a Alpine Type R 6x9 which will give me a good amount of midbass and low end to mate with my cdt neox 6.5 coaxials up front. CL-69 and Alpine Type R is what im looking at right now. |
