Silver Member Username: TafkamTexas Post Number: 197 Registered: Apr-04 | Hi all, I have a 10 inch Orion H2 2 ohm DVC sub being powered by a Hifonics Brutus 1500 amp which gives 1500 watts at 1 ohm, (yes I know these don't put out that much) that is why I am posting, I want to get a better amp. I know the Zapco is great but probably over my price range. I figure I could sell my current amp for maybe 125 on eBay and could spend another 300 or so right now so are there any other really nice amps out there that will do 1500 watts plus at 1 ohm or should I just keep saving? |

You can pick the amp up on ebay for 450 shipped. Its a great amp and will rock that sub. |

This may be a stupid move but maybe not, someone chime in on this, how bout I keep the Hifonics amp and get a different sub? Maybe a Brahma or whatever or should I stick with my H2? |

Silver Member Username: Safe_crackerChicago, IL US Post Number: 342 Registered: Jan-06 | The H2 is a power hungry sub that is not all that great to begin with, even though there are plenty to disagree with me. If you keep the H2 I would recommend at least an Orion 5000D (2400watts rms) or het rid of the H2 for either an RE sx 10 or 12" and keep the Hifonics dependant on the room you have. I prefer 15s and they sound great. Polo... |

I like the 10 inch size because it fits behind the drivers seat and therefore I am not wasting any room in the cargo area (99 Blazer) I just got the H2 because it was a good price at the time, 199 shipped. Will look at some other subs....thanks again!!!! |

Bronze Member Username: WinterfreshpimpChisago, MN America Post Number: 36 Registered: Mar-06 | hifonics i heard on this forum are 70% of their rated power... i think his says 2000 watts which would make it 1400rms...I THINK! dont hold me to that |
