I had my amplifier set to low input voltage and was running my amp off of a line converter, so could i have burnt out my inputs? I was told to put it on low but now ive got another guy telling me to make sure i have it on high input voltage??
Did I burn out my inputs? Is that possible? I have a Jl Audio 500/1 With a American International Line Converter, 4g Ground and Power Lines 8g amp to sub lines, Kia Rio 2001.
what exactly is he saying? lol is he in other words saying hes been running the amp on say 2V or less sensitivity and sending a 6V or something signal to it?

Im saying that i had my line converter connected to my amplifier and i have the input sensitivity about a quarter of the way up and the high low input switch was on low.
no matter what setting u had it set on, the amplifier can only take a maximum voltage applied to the input rcas.. normally between 150mV-5V the gain just adjust the sensitivity of this input voltage. so if u give a amp rated @ 5v on rca inputs with a 12v signal on rca inputs, you will surely damage the amplifier!
