Bridging headunit

At the moment my head unit drives four speakers, 2 on my dash and 2 in my front doors. The ones in my dash are too close to my head and are very small so are pointless. Can i disconnect them and instead bridge the ouputs on the headunit, so i have more power going to the bigger ones in the doors? if this can be done i intend to buy better speakers for the doors.

no, you cannot bridge a HU.
but by disconnecting one set of speakers, i've found that the set still hooked up will receive more power and won't distort as soon as with 2 sets hooked up.

but if you really want more power, you should look into an external amp.

Thanks for that. i got an amp in boot and two 6x9's in mdf back shelf - they kick but front cant keep up and it doesnt sound good as soon as i go loud. im going to try disconnectin the two smaller speakers, my standard stocks in the doors arent too bad.
