What would be better or what amp would be more powerful out of a 2ch and mono amp. The two channel would be pushing a dual 4ohm kicker L7 and the mono would be pushing a dual 2ohm L7. The specs say that the 2ch amp is 1200W x 1 @ 4ohm RMS so does that mean if it was wired at a 2 ohhm it would be 2400W RMS? The D amp is 2250x1 @ 1ohm. I know that these are not the actual wattage but am I right on the 2ch being 2400RMS @ 2ohm or would that fry the amp? The specs are below. 2ch below
Max Power (2 Ohm) 600W X 2 RMS Power (4 Ohm) 300W X 2 @ 0.04% THD Bridged Power (4 Ohm) 1200W X 1 Signal To Noise Ratio 102 dB Frequency Response 20HZ TO 20KHZ Dimensions: (L x H x W) 23-1/2" X 2-1/4" X 11-3/4"
mono specs
Max Power (1 Ohm) 2250W x 1 RMS Power (2 Ohms) 1500W x 1 RMS Power (4 Ohms) 800W x 1 Signal-To-Noise Ratio 100Db Frequency Response 20Hz To 250Hz Input Sensitivity 100Mv To 5.7V Dimensions (L x H x W): 18" x 2-1/8" x 10"
that L7 will never hold that power for the mono load for a dual 2ohm speaker. and you can not run the dual 4 bridged to the 2 channel, you can reverse those and run the dual 2 on the 2 channel and the dual 4 on the mono.
um becuase you can't wire a dual 4 for 4 ohms maybe??? Choices are 2 ohms or 8 ohms. Check out the12volt.com play around witht the wiring conifigurer a little...
Ty would a 2ch amp at 4ohm on that sub be as good as the mono at 2ohm on the dual 2 ohm? The 2ch is 100 cheaper but if the D is more powerful then I just buy the D 1ch. Thanks
