if all other settings were completely the same including ss filter, x over, bass boost, ect in a perfect world there should not be a niticable difference but the difference in s/n ratio, slue rate, damping factor, all play a role in how a amp performs and how much control the amp has over the sub. IMO the kicker would prob be a litle better here.
So your saying the kicker amp has more control and would handle the sub better?I'm confused. Plese explain in english i don't know that pro audio talk sh.it.
whooaaaaa never again that came off like some g.ay sh.it,that thread yesterday was like a fu.ckin chatroom, lol yea that's fu.cked up,,,, marilan manson .jr^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Pelon^^^^
Will the kicker 1200 amp sound different than the orion 1200 amp.If there hooked up exactly the same to two eclipse ti's will there be any difference in sound?
don't mean to hijack this thread but how would those 2 amps compare to the RE12.1, and marilyn manson doesn't have a big dck, thats why he had to have 2 ribs taken out just so he could suck it himself.
If you had 2 amps with identical controls, and are reasonably built, there's no way human ears can hear any difference. I'm not sure dogs can either. In fact, most people can't tell when an amp clips. It's that hard with bass.
but the kicker is rated at 12 volts while the orion is rated at 14.4! Kicker underrated, Orion overrated a tad. I would go out on a limb and say that if you were to connect the kicker 1200.1 and the orion 1200.1 the kicker would be the stronger amp of the two.
There are other factors that separate amps from each other like dynamic headroom and dampening factor. I can hear a difference from amp to amp manufacture. I settled on Kicker because I like the way they sound, same for PG Xenon line. Construction of the amp will make it sound different also, differences between fet tollerances is also enough to change sounds. Polo..
