Do Pioneer HUs Dim at Night

Anyone have any experience with this issue. Interested in the new 4800 but can't tell if it has a dim feature of any kind for night driving.

If you hook up the dimmer wire they will.

In my experience (I have the P80MP), the OLED display will dim if the appropriate menu option is enabled and if you're connected to the dimmer wire but the buttons and control knob themselves remain at full brightness. Poor design, in my opinion.
