Gold Member Username: James1115Ct Post Number: 5210 Registered: Dec-04 | if he wants not overpowering the w6v2 is the sub to go with![]() |
Silver Member Username: JakeyplaysbassSt. Louis, MO Post Number: 592 Registered: Jul-05 | how do they compare to the dynaudio? it seems like its almost a midbass more than an acutal sub, which might be better than a W6 in this case. the last thing he wants is powerful or boomy bass. |
Gold Member Username: James1115Ct Post Number: 5212 Registered: Dec-04 | the w6v2 will not give you powerful or boomy bass. It has superb transient response, and hits every note accurately. It is a SQ sub not a SQL sub. a 10w6v2 in a small sealed enclosure will be perfect for what he wants![]() |

Silver Member Username: JakeyplaysbassSt. Louis, MO Post Number: 595 Registered: Jul-05 | will do. he likes how my type Xs sound when i have them on very very low volume but if i turn them up at all he yells so one 10' should be alright. should i just get the 500/1 amp or will the 250/1 be alright? he never turns it up past halfway so i dont see the need for the full 500 watts. |
Gold Member Username: James1115Ct Post Number: 5220 Registered: Dec-04 | 250/1 will be perfect. |

Another sub that is cheaper that would do a great job for his wants is the Image Dynamics IDQ. Dyn MW190 is a very smooth, very open and airy sounding sub. Not really a powerful sub, more dry and musical in it's production. Matches their comps very nicely. |
