Silver Member Username: Iufan4lifeulPost Number: 935 Registered: May-05 | I have heard really good stuff about the D9's so I am assuming they are pretty good. I think I might have heard them and if it was them they are really deep sounding and really clean. |
Silver Member Username: Steven1234Rahway, NJ Post Number: 112 Registered: Nov-05 | well im looking for SQ so would the D6's fall into that area |
Gold Member Username: James1115Ct Post Number: 5200 Registered: Dec-04 | yes they are nice, sq is great |

Silver Member Username: Steven1234Rahway, NJ Post Number: 115 Registered: Nov-05 | ight well i think im just gonna go with the d6's casue i have all there Hex comps... so im just gonna build the dual ported box they have on there site for 2 12's and throw them between my wheels of the back of my blazer.... |
Silver Member Username: Steven1234Rahway, NJ Post Number: 116 Registered: Nov-05 | yea what else is there that can get louder and still maintain SQ |
Gold Member Username: Chaunb3400Huntsville, Alabama U.S. Post Number: 5836 Registered: Jul-05 | "chauncey what would you get in the same price range that is louder" Lots of subs, they would fall in that notorious 150-200 price range SE's CVR's Type r's Crystal Comps Ed v.2's CV-V-max's |
Gold Member Username: Chaunb3400Huntsville, Alabama U.S. Post Number: 5837 Registered: Jul-05 | rl-p's oz matrix elite's |

New member Username: Bobok7787Post Number: 9 Registered: Jan-06 | I have one d6 running off a MTX801D in the box that diamond has specs for on their site and it really pounds. Go to http://www.diamondaudio.com/products/pdfs/Single%2012%20in%20Vented%2005.pdf for that specialty box |
Silver Member Username: Steven1234Rahway, NJ Post Number: 121 Registered: Nov-05 | it pounds but does it sound clean ? casue i have 2 12inch L5's right now and all they do it pound. |
New member Username: Bobok7787Post Number: 10 Registered: Jan-06 | Oh yeah, clean as hell...pretty loud too. it gets really deep, they recommend a subsonic filter which you definately do need. |
Silver Member Username: LbecknerTulsa, Ok Usa Post Number: 654 Registered: Oct-04 | I read an article in CA&E and they said they were good sq. |
Silver Member Username: Steven1234Rahway, NJ Post Number: 122 Registered: Nov-05 | how do they handle upper freq i mean if i wanted compete in a SQ contest would it be wise to use these subs or no? |
Silver Member Username: Steven1234Rahway, NJ Post Number: 123 Registered: Nov-05 | the article in CA&E was about d3 subs. Do u think the D6's can compare to the W6v2's or no.. i mean i wish i could go and hear some but there is no where around my area that has a set of D6's or D9's or diamond audio equpiment at all. |
Silver Member Username: JronPost Number: 186 Registered: Jul-05 | dont think the d6's are on the w6's level. |
Silver Member Username: Steven1234Rahway, NJ Post Number: 124 Registered: Nov-05 | but would the D6 be a good alternative to the W6'v2's and if not what is pretty close... |
Silver Member Username: JronPost Number: 187 Registered: Jul-05 | yeah man the d6 is a solid sub. you may want to look into arc audio, oz, re. Really I would go with either of those companies listed except kicker, not my cup of tea. Also look into ascendant audio. the fact of the matter is, listen to as many subs as possible, but all those companies listed make excellent subs. |
Silver Member Username: Steven1234Rahway, NJ Post Number: 125 Registered: Nov-05 | see the only problem is that going around and listen to subs in dam near impossible around my area... there are not to many places to listen to subs or any speakers at that.. especailly decently set up speakers.. But what do u mean the D6 is a solid sub? |
Silver Member Username: JronPost Number: 190 Registered: Jul-05 | meaning its a fairly good sub all around. stays clean, and has decent output, you could always go with a one sub setup though, say perhaps a d9. |
Silver Member Username: Steven1234Rahway, NJ Post Number: 126 Registered: Nov-05 | na i wanna go 2 sub's i drive 2 dr blazer one sub and the back of my truck would look empty i know it sounds stupid but yea ... well for me to get a strong out put i was gonna try and get 2 d6's in a dual ported box... but if u have any other ideas |
Silver Member Username: JronPost Number: 191 Registered: Jul-05 | should work out nicely for you man. |
Silver Member Username: LbecknerTulsa, Ok Usa Post Number: 659 Registered: Oct-04 | yes you right the article was about the d3. my bad. well then in that case the d6 should be even better |
