I recently installed new speakers to replace my old factory ones. With the old ones, my right front dash speaker worked fine, but the left front dash went in and out (I would slap the dash and the speaker would come back on-i know its ghetto) but when I replaced this speaker with a new one didn't work. My right one I replaced worked fine. I have already ruled out wiring it wrong.
Also, I have an old head unit with a casette deck. When I try to play my radio loud, my speakers distort. Will buying a new radio clear up that problem?? Please, anyone help!!
I forgot to add a little information to my recent post. I have a 88 toyota corolla. I only have issues with one speaker-my left front dash one. It sorta played the old one. One second it would work, then I'd hit a speed bump and it would go out. Then I'd slap the dash and it would come on again. When I put a brand new speaker in, I got no sound at all. I know I did not hook it up wrong. Where should I look/check or/and what should I do??
