Friday, February 17, 2006 - 00:32 GMT ok so say i have two seperate enclosures and i wire both subs down to 1 0hm, so i then hook up both enclosures to a mono amp, would the load presented to the amp be 1ohm>? and what if a had a 2 channel amp with each enclosure wired to 1 channel, would each channel be presented with a 1 0hm load?

Friday, February 17, 2006 - 02:02 GMT if both subs are wired at 1 ohm each, then you wire them together in series, that'll be a 2 ohm load. 2 channel amps usually aren't 2 ohm or lower stable, so that wouldn't work.

Friday, February 17, 2006 - 02:14 GMT if you wire two subs down to one ohm..so each is at one ohm, and you wire them both to a mono amp, the amp will see .5 ohms. if you put two separate loads into a mono amp, it divides. the amp see half if you had a two channel amp with each enclosure wired to 1 ohm, each channel of the amp would see 1 ohm.
