New member Username: Shaun_whitakerPost Number: 8 Registered: Feb-06 | i just purchased a kicker 12L5 and a kenwood kac-9152d. the l5 is rated to handle 600w rms. and the kenwood puts out 500w @ 4 ohms. did i pick out a good pair. or did i make a mistake. please help!! |

New member Username: Shaun_whitakerPost Number: 9 Registered: Feb-06 | one more thing though guys i am a little worried about. the kenwood is an 1800w amp max. and the L5 is 1200w max. will the amp be putting out 1800w max and 500w rms @ 4 ohms. or will the max rating go down @ 4 ohms? |

Gold Member Username: TjmutlowPost Number: 1498 Registered: Sep-05 | that amp is 1ohm stable and most power at prob 14.8 volts. |
New member Username: Shaun_whitakerPost Number: 10 Registered: Feb-06 | i bought the dual 2 ohm ty. and it handles 600w rms and 1200 max |
Gold Member Username: James1115Ct Post Number: 5100 Registered: Dec-04 | if the amp puts out 500 rms at 4ohms wire your subs series/parellel to a 4 ohm load and you are all set. dont ever read or worry about max power ratings they are a bunch of CR@P that sell out companies try to use to rope in newbies to thing there product is amazing. like a 1800 watt amp for $149 lol |

Gold Member Username: James1115Ct Post Number: 5113 Registered: Dec-04 | subs dont put out power amps do. if the amp does 500 watts rms at 4 ohms @ 14.4 volts it will prob do like 400-420 @ 12 volts. |
