You need to figure out how much current your car needs, and how much your audio system needs. use this to figure what you'll need: http://www.glasswolf.net/caraudio/charging.html remember also when your amp says it's 1000 watts (at whatever load) that's a peak RMS output, meaning at full volume, with a signal generator and non inductive load. With music being dynamic, speakers being a reactive load, and the fact that you don't play the stereo at full volume all the time, the truth is you probably don't use more than a few hundred watts of power continuously when using your stereo system regardless of the amp ratings. |
