thanks for the advice, but the kicker is only 400wrms @ 14.4v and i have the original alt. in my car (haven't replaced it yet)so i won't be gettin the 400watts. i'm lookin for a good amp that'll put out somewhere between 400-650wrms at 2ohm load at 12v.

The kicker kx400.1 will pump out cleaner and louder sound then the other amps listed. A good way to measure an amps quality is by looking at its sound to noise ratio (s/n ratio). It demonstrates how much control the amp has over the subwoofer(a better s/n gives better response with attributes to overall SQ)

wont be audiobahn or the PG, they are rated at 14.4volts... not many amps rated at 12volts anymore.Find 2 old school Orion HCCA 250r or even 225r

Two PG X600.1 D's will work nicely. Kicker is good but I think there larger amps are better. The PG's are more versatile as far as ohmage is concerned, rated power from 1 to 4ohms. They are also well built, run cool and are easy on you charging system. I would suggest if you are going to run two 12s then why not a single Xenon 1200.1 D. It will use the same if not less power. Polo.. :-)

get viper 1200d from ikesound, it's stable a 2 ohms and they're good rated so if you have a stock alt it will work fine too
