Paul1n Unregistered guest | I currently have a 93 camaro z28, and am about to install two amps resulting in 1000 watts rms. I THINK my stock alternator is 124amps (not too sure). Should I be fine running this? If not what auto shop would change the gauge of my wires so I could install a higher amp. alternator? (cost?) Thanks again guys. |
Paul1n Unregistered guest | Also what gauge of wire should be used to replace this? |

My amp is an ALpine MRD-M1005 that I'm going to run at 1000 Watts x 2 ohms. What type of Amp Wiring Kit do I need? I want to buy it on Ebay since local stores price them so high. Anyone know what kit i should get, suggestions? -Thanks |

Nick - best thing to do it look on ebay for the stinger HPM 1/0AWG wireing kit, its like $80. that'll be great and give you room for upgrades. don't know of anything else any cheaper really. |

New member Username: __nick__Post Number: 9 Registered: Feb-06 | whats the difference between 4 gauges and 8 and 2 and all the different gauges for amp installation kits, does it matter? |
