I have talked with the owner Chad on numerous occasions and he said they are as loud as the avalanche with better transient response. If this is true which I have no reason to doubt him because if he were to lie he would do nothing but hurt himself, they would be much louder then the se. |

Used them both in sealed and ported and they both sound great. From what I've seen in my sealed box the Type R's are much clearer but the Kickers hit much harder. |
