Bronze Member Username: Parad0xPost Number: 35 Registered: Apr-05 | I was changing the wiring on my amplifier today to bridged, so I took a look at the manual to how to do a good bridged connectiong using this amplifier and to my suprise the manual was for a different amplifier... My amplifier however looks like this, with the "500.2" emblem on the side panels, and a big sticker on the underside of the unit stating 250x2 rms at 2 ohms.. (pics are 650 kb each, so couple secs till you can view it) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/parad0xs/2006_feb_05_amp_pics003.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/parad0xs/2006_feb_05_amp_pics004.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/parad0xs/2006_feb_05_amp_pics005.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/parad0xs/2006_feb_05_amp_pics006.jpg My problem is, when I went to the rockford fosgate website, I downloaded the manual for the 500.2 (incorrect manual below) http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/library/manuals/500_2-man.pdf and it referred to a XCard that is not on the amplifiier... So this means, this amplifier is eather an older version or it's miss-labeled/fake. I downloaded another manual off of the rockford fosgate website for a 500xp model, but that manual had 4 channels and mine only has 2 channels... ?? However, on that manual there was a 300s model that had the same looking channels/crossover panel and the same amount of 2 channels... So again, if it isint the 500xp model.. so really what model do I have?? I cannot find a manual for it, and I am starting to doubt I have the real thing. I am also thinking there is a posibility this amplifier might have been miss-labeled as a 500s instead this amplifier really is a 300s? How can I tell people.. I need some help here with what to do, it would suck if I purchased a miss-labeled product at a wrong price? Or even a fake product possibly? The amp has always seemed kind of small to me by the way for what everybody charishes as a high quality product. Here is a picture of the same amp off of another website, labeled as 500.2, but the manuals off of rockford fosgate are labeling the panels/wiring all different for it? I am really confused, because I dont know how to bridge it.. the 500.2 manual describes setting knobs certain ways, knobs that are not present on my amplifier. http://www.biocomp.net/o30533.htm |
