I'm running a 500wattRMS sub (a single one) in the trunk of a Honda Accord. I'm running it with a 1000watt max/500watt RMS amp. I'm getting a ported enclosure, but from my understanding your box has to be tuned to match or you lose response from the sub below it's tuning frequency. So i don't wanna damage my sub. The sub has a 21Hz-1kHz frequency response. How do I know about the box? It's 21(h)x18(d)x17(w), but does it even go by the boxes dimensions? Does it matter how much i'm gonna really push my sub? I've gone to a few websites, but still am not sure about how to do this right. |

It looks like the first two things you suggested I can set on the amp. What about tuning an enclosure port? How is that done? What if the box is already made? Thanks for your help. |
