Silver Member Username: N2audioLawrence, Ks USA Post Number: 505 Registered: Mar-04 | Haven't actually seen test numbers, but just by looking at the board it's obvious to see it's more powerful than the 1200/1800D. The board is actually closer to the opti2000D than the Vibe 1800D. Maybe 1500ish at 1 ohm, 14v. |

One person designing a dynamic circuit with 100A max current might decide an 80A fuse would be sufficient, while another would go with 100A 3) you're assuming 100% efficiency |

Silver Member Username: N2audioLawrence, Ks USA Post Number: 510 Registered: Mar-04 | LOL - just like every other amp The 1200D was 67% at 1/3 output, which is right in line with many class D's and better than a lot. I've read there was a CA&E review on the 2000D that measured efficiency at 83% - not sure what impedance. The best efficiency I've seen in a legitimate test was the PG Xenon mono's - 83% at rated power at 4 ohms. A lot of mfg's claim crazy efficiency numbers but it doesn't mean anything unless you know the impedance and the power output for the measurement. |
Silver Member Username: N2audioLawrence, Ks USA Post Number: 511 Registered: Mar-04 | since I found the test results for the 2000D I figured'd I'd go ahead and post them. They're beyond my expectations -- Test Results: Output power @ 1%THD, 1kHz, 14.4V 4 Ohms - 770W 2 Ohms - 1118W 1 Ohm - 1687W 0.5 Ohm - 1962W Output Power @ 1%THD, 1kHz, 12.5V 4 Ohms - 673W 2 Ohms - 988W 1 Ohm - 1406W 0.5 Ohm - 1635W Distortion at rated power, 1kHz, 14.4V: 0.14% @ impedance Input sensitivity:250mV to 8V Frequency response (+1dB):15Hz - 130kHz Signal to Noise ratio (A weighted, below clipping, min gain): >83dB Slew Rate: 6.5V/Msec Damping Factor @ 100Hz, 4 Ohms: 105 Idle current: 2.1A Max current draw, in clipped: 117A @ 1152W Efficiency at 1/3 Power, lowest impedance: 79% Efficiency at full power, 1%THD, lowest impedance: 85% Crossover slope: 24dB/octave Crossover range, lowpass 48Hz-155Hz Subsonic slope: 24dB/octave Subsonic range, lowpass: 14Hz-56Hz Low frequency boost: +19dB @ 43Hz Dimentions: 19 1/8"L x 10"W x 2.5"H The Opti2000D is strappable meaning two amplifers can be used on a single channel, allowing nearly 4000W into a 1 Ohm load. I also found info that the 2600D will approach 2kw @ 1 ohm. |
