Bronze Member Username: Safe_crackerChicago, IL US Post Number: 27 Registered: Jan-06 | I have two SX1250.1's and have to say they cost a little more but the programming that they have with the digital signal processor will save you money in the long run! These amps are able to make a crappy pair of subs sound good. Don't get me wrong, if you can't hand A LOT of features and I meam A LOT then go with a Kx or Zx (soon). I got the SXRC (digita remote) for it and i never even have to open the trunk anymore!I will tell you, it does cost and coupled with my two ID MAX 12" subs, it will be the difference weather or not your better half makes you sleep on the sofa or in the car, lol! JMHO...Polo. |

Be sure to ask a lot of questions and make sure it comes with the serial #s and birth certificate. I love all the features the digital signal processor has to offer. You can do just about anything with it and presets too! You can set the bass boost at any point between your frequency level, it tells you the temp of your amp, voltage and it can even diagnose problems internally with a sick bay feature. If you get the remote (SXRC) you will never have to go into the trunk/hatch, seriously!! Also if you remove the end caps the amp is only 18 1/2". I have a PG X1200.1 which puts out like a quality wh0re but the kicker puts out (mine anyway) 1390 watts out of a rated 1250 rms,who knows what the peak is. My other birth certificate says 1420 watts,not too bad... JMHO..Polo.. |

The Kx is discontinued, replaced by the Zx which is only 2 ohm stable in any configuration/size. The only NEW alternative for 06 is the SX which is still 1 ohm stable, kinda like a Kx with a very nice computer. Get this, I have been talking with a Kicker tech and I was told the older Sx's will not go through obsolescence because everything is basically the same except for the sofware which is upgradeable. I honestly think these amps are a little before there time, JMHO..Polo.. PS-Can you tell I like these amps, lol ? |
