Bronze Member Username: GoatinPost Number: 80 Registered: Jan-06 | This should work good for you if you wire it like a 2 ch amp that will give you 440 rms at 4 ohm on each sub I am kinda new to amps but I think it will sound good. |
Bronze Member Username: Bp317Post Number: 35 Registered: Aug-05 | yea, it should be better than my power acoustik one i have now too. |
Bronze Member Username: GoatinPost Number: 82 Registered: Jan-06 | I was going to post a few pics but I cant get it to work. |
Silver Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 353 Registered: Oct-05 | b p, i hope your not planning on running that amp to ur 2 mtx 8500's... |
Bronze Member Username: Bp317Post Number: 36 Registered: Aug-05 | why not? im still kinda new to this stuff |
Silver Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 358 Registered: Oct-05 | because if you have 2 mtx 8510 subs, each sub had 500 watts rms. and you have two of them which means you have 2 subs that require 500 watts rms each = 1000 watts amp. so you need an amp that puts out 1000 watts. getting that amp you are talking about only puts out 440 watts, which is 220 into each sub. which will work but not gettin the full potential of your subs. |
Silver Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 359 Registered: Oct-05 | that is also a 4-channel amp. you would want a mono amp for 2 subs. or 2-channel. |
Bronze Member Username: GoatinPost Number: 86 Registered: Jan-06 | it is 440 rms per channel bridged. |
Bronze Member Username: Bp317Post Number: 37 Registered: Aug-05 | oh, well by the description it says it does 440 x 2..bridged. i thought that was 440 to each sub? |
Silver Member Username: BlainewPost Number: 794 Registered: Nov-05 | it is |
Silver Member Username: BlainewPost Number: 796 Registered: Nov-05 | it is but get a mono |
Gold Member Username: TjmutlowPost Number: 1267 Registered: Sep-05 | You can not run those subs on that amp bridged, if those are dual 4 ohm then the best you can use it is a an 8 0hm load per bridged side. |
Silver Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 374 Registered: Oct-05 | you wont even be getting enough watts to your subs, b p. the rms of those is like 500. 440 is alright but remembeer that, that amp doesnt put out its full watts!! so it will be much less than 440 watts to each sub even if you could do it. the hifonics are most of the time 70-80% overrated. |
