I can get each of these within $100 (Pioneer and Panasonic at $850 and Clarion at $750) which system looks better to you guys, which are easier to set up to play while driving? and which have trouble with dvd-r's

One of Clarion's biggest goals is the human interface design...so I have no doubt that it would be the easiest to set up and use. They also have a very good quality about them.

Because Pioneer developed the DVD-R, it should have no problems playing them...

Panasonic is great, but they are more focused on technology rather than reliability.

Here are links to online stores if you're interesting in finding them cheaper, and not necessarily used (ebay):

Overall, I like the Pioneer the most. It has an elegant design and is guaranteed to last. Feature-wise, they all have their pros and cons, so you'll have to decide there...

the panasonic touch screen is better then the others, it is more like the Alpine. It allows you to control more with the touch screen.
