ok if i have 6x9s in the rear rated at 100 watt rms and get an amp that is 2x200watt rms at 4ohms
will it be good for them or what?

then my head unit is 54x4 and 23 rms x4 then will the extra power from the back speakers not being directly connected to an amp go to my front speakers...so basiaclly insead of the fronts being 23 rms will they be 46 rms each because the hu has the extra power to give them?

last one...if it does give it 46rms and my speakers are 40 rms will it over power them and risk killing them???

sorry for so much but i really appreciate the help

if that amp gives 100 watts output to each channel at 4 ohms, then thats a good match.

just because your HU has 4 channels and you only use 2 of them, doesn't mean the wattage that would be going to the other 2 channels will go to the front 2. you might get more, but not much more, out of the 2 channels without the rear hooked up, but not that much.

its not gonna give 46 watts, but 6 watts over rms won't blow them unless your sending the speakers a clipped signal.
